Busy ...Most people I know are.
Working.
Occupied.
Overwhelmed.
Overloaded.
Engrossed.
Have many irons in the fire.
I get it ... I can mark them all.I have a full calendar with appointments and activities every day. Often, months ahead.
Yet ... when there is an invitation to come to an event ... a happening ... a whatever that requests a Yes or No, it takes me less than 15 seconds to check my availability and decide. Yes or No and let the host know. To RSVP yea or nay.
If you don’t respond, don’t be a surprise “not planned for by the host” drop in.
And don’t be a ghost. It’s become the new normal for many. If you commit, show up. If something urgent pops up and needs your immediate attention/presence, let the host know you won’t be there.
It’s the right thing to do.
It’s the smart thing to do.
It’s called courtesy.
A good thing.
